The Be A Fit Kid Health Fair will take place on December 8 in front of Kohl’s Department Store on the lower level of the Rogue Valley Mall from 11-2. The fair will include booths to educate, activities to titillate, and prizes to celebrate a healthier lifestyle for school age children. Parents will receive a free parent handbook for participating with their kids at the Be A Fit Kid Health Fair.

Information Booth

Start here:

·        Collect a wristlet to receive tokens at the nutrition and fitness activity booths, a free water bottle, and a free Be A Fit Kid parent book. 

·        View “Be a Fit Kid” education curriculum, nutrition-related brochures, artery occlusion models, and food displays.

·        Sign up for the raffle and win heart-healthy foods and prizes (raffle held at 1:30).

Nutrition Bingo Booth

Learn about healthy eating by playing Nutrition Bingo. Receive an Apple token for visiting this booth and maybe a prize.

Bingo games every 30 minutes: 11:00, 11:30, 12:00, 12:30, 1:00.

Veggie/Fruit Art Mural Booth

Color your favorite vegetable or fruit and add it to our rainbow mural for all to see. Receive a Pumpkin token to add to your wristlet for visiting this booth. This booth is open throughout the Fair.

How Much Fat, Sugar, and Salt Booth

Use your smarts to guess the amount fat, sugar and salt in common foods. Receive a Heart token for visiting this booth and maybe a prize! This booth is open throughout the Fair.

Toss that Baby in the Bucket

Take aim with a vegetable or fruit beanie baby. Try to sink as many beanies as you can. Receive a Thumbs Up token for visiting this booth and maybe a prize. This booth is open throughout the Fair.

Jump Rope

We provide the jump-ropes you provide the power. See how long you can jump on one foot, jump to the music, jump backwards and just jump! Earn a Jump Award token by visiting this booth and maybe a prize.

Jumping starts every 15 minutes: 11:15, 11:30, 11:45, 12:00, 12:15, 12:30, 12:45, 1:00, and 1:15.
